Prayer to St. Roch for Healing and Guidance Prayer

St. Roch, known other than as St Rocco or Saint Roque, is a Christian saint who was born approximately in 1295 at Montpellier in France. He is remembered for his elevated spirituality, giving away riches to people who are poor and well known for healing persons afflicted with illnesses especially during the Plague time of everyone. According to tradition, St Roch devoted all his life in giving care to sick people and helping them as well as providing support for poor individuals after both of his parents passed away. When he reached Rome via sea ship, people knew him for curing such individuals through prayer accompanied by making sign of cross. Later on, however, St. Roch caught plague himself. He isolated himself into some trees where dog came with bread miraculously and licked his diseases wounds thus aiding his recovery process before returning back again. His recognition as a healer and protector from the plague grew ever more extensive after his demise in 1327. A wandering staff, a sore leg and a faithful dog usually illustrate St Roch. He is regarded as a patron of dogs, false charges and contagious sicknesses. Each August 16th his feast day is celebrated.
