Jesus' First Words on the cross are “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” (Luke 23:34)

Upon the cross Jesus pleaded with His Father to forgive His tormentors, at whose hands he suffered unimaginable pain. But as He spoke these words, Jesus also interceded for all who have sinned against God – so that by His passion, death and resurrection, we may be reconciled with our Father in heaven.

As we gaze upon the wounded body of our Lord, God invites us to be FORGIVEN AND HEALED through His Son’s sacrifice on the cross. Let us reflect on these words through this song.
