Abraham, Lot, Sodom and Gomorrah Story

Abraham, the common progenitor of Judaism, Islam, and Christianity, was born in Ur, the Sumerian region of Mesopotamia, where the world's first civilization originated. Abraham was Noah's 10th descendant. Noah lived to be 950 years old, making him around 30-40 years older than Abraham. As a child, Abraham was filled with awe for God after hearing Noah's account of the flood. When Abraham's older brother died early in Ur, his father became disappointed and chose to leave, settling in the ancient commercial city of Haran.
