Countdown to 500 is a special educational online lecture series produced by the National Quincentennial Committee as part of its ongoing public initiatives for the 2021 Quincentennial Commemorations in the Philippines. This lecture series is specially developed to provide timely historical discussions during the COVID-19 Pandemic in partnership with the National Historical Commission of the Philippines, Department of Foreign Affairs Presidential Communications Operations Office, and Radio-Television Malacañang. This episode of Countdown to 500 is conducted in partnership with the Cebu City Cultural and Historical Affairs Office (CHAO) and the Philippine-Italian Association (PIA).
