“Comfort for a Troubled Heart” (John 14:1-4) Dr. Bebs Redulla December 10, 2023 Sunday Service
Today, the world is in turmoil! We are living in a generation of great uncertainty. Radical changes and upheaval in our world have left many people concerned about their futures. The income of most people cannot cope up with the increasing prices of the things they need. Life is getting tougher and the cost of living is getting higher. Prospects are not good and, for many, the future is uncertain.

These, plus the many other things happening in the world today can deeply trouble our hearts. Seeing the world getting more topsy-turvy, on top of our own personal or family problems, and business struggles, we cannot avoid being troubled by them! I wonder how many of you have anxious hearts today?
Where do we go to find comfort and hope? Jesus says to you, “Stop being troubled in your heart. Keep trusting in God and keep trusting in me also.” Why? Because “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea...” Psalm 46:1,2 (NIV)
God’s word is truly our refuge and strength because His promises calm our troubled hearts.
