The leaders and pastors God has placed in our lives are expected to be good examples and to have a lifestyle that reflects Him. We, in return, should imitate them by remembering their counsel, filling our minds with the correct doctrine, and steering clear of the influences of the world.
1 Corinthians 11:1-2 ESV
Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ. Now I commend you because you remember me in everything and maintain the traditions even as I delivered them to you.
