Devotional Message:
(Ephesians 6:18)
"Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests."

Observation:
Have you ever seen a stack of small cards with different messages on them? Maybe you’ve received a card for your birthday, or a note from a friend that made you smile. Cards can be very simple, but they have a way of reminding us of something important. A birthday card reminds us we are loved. A get-well card reminds us someone is thinking of us.

Now, imagine a different kind of card—one you don’t give away, but one that helps you pray. What if you had a “Prayer Card” for each person in your life? Each card could have the name of a family member, a friend, or someone in need. Whenever you see their name, you are reminded to pray for them.

This is what Paul is talking about in Ephesians 6:18. He tells us to pray at all times and to pray for all people. Prayer is not just something we do when we are in trouble. It is something we do every day, like talking to a friend. God wants us to pray when we are happy, when we are sad, and even when we don’t know what to say. He listens every time.

Praying on all occasions means making prayer a natural part of our day. We can pray while washing dishes, walking to work, or before sleeping. We can pray when we hear someone is sick or when we see a friend struggling. Prayer can happen anytime, anywhere.

Application:
Let’s go back to the idea of Prayer Cards. Imagine you have a few blank cards in your hand. On each card, you can write the name of someone you care about—maybe your parents, your siblings, your best friend, your teacher, or even someone you had a disagreement with.

Each morning, you could pick one card and say, “Today, I will pray for this person.” It doesn’t have to be a long prayer. You could simply say, “Lord, please help my friend today. Keep her safe and give her joy.” That’s it.
