Devotional Message:
(2 Chronicles 7:14)
"If my people...will humble themselves..., then I will hear from heaven."

Observation:

There was a time when the people of Israel were far from God. They had become proud and had started doing things their own way. They forgot how God had led them out of slavery, protected them in the wilderness, and gave them the promised land. Instead of trusting God, they trusted their own strength. They even started worshiping idols and doing things that displeased the Lord.

God saw all of this. He loved His people, but their sins separated them from Him. So, God allowed troubles to come into their lives—droughts, enemies attacking, sickness in their land. These were not to destroy them but to wake them up and call them back to Him.

In the midst of their struggles, God gave them a promise. He said that if they would humble themselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from their wicked ways, He would hear from heaven, forgive their sins, and heal their land.

This was not just for Israel. It is also for us today. We may not be facing the exact same problems, but we live in a time when many people have drifted away from God. Some of us may feel dry in our spirits, as if God is far away. Some families are broken, and many hearts are filled with fear, anger, or sadness. We see problems around us—violence, sickness, poverty, and sin. Sometimes we ask, "Where is God?" But maybe the better question is, "Where are we?"

God has not moved. He is still waiting. He is still loving. He is still ready to forgive and heal. But He is asking us to come back to Him.

Application:

Revival begins in the heart. It starts when we stop blaming others and start looking at ourselves. It begins when we humble ourselves and admit that we need God. Pride tells us we can handle life on our own, but humility says, "Lord, I need You."
