Devotional Message:
(Exodus 2:10)
"Pharaoh's daughter...named him Moses, saying, 'I drew him out of the water."

Observation

In Exodus 2, we see the story of Moses as a baby. During that time, Pharaoh ordered that all Hebrew baby boys be thrown into the Nile River. It was a dangerous time to be born, but God had other plans for Moses. His mother, Jochebed, hid him for three months. When she could no longer keep him hidden, she placed him in a basket and set him afloat on the river. But instead of drowning, Moses was found by Pharaoh’s daughter. She took him in and raised him as her own.

From a human perspective, Moses' future seemed doomed. Pharaoh had commanded that all Hebrew boys be killed. If daughter had followed her father’s law, Moses would have died. But God had already planned something different. Instead of perishing, Moses grew up in the palace, receiving the best education in Egypt. He was trained as a leader, not knowing that one day he would return to Egypt to free his people.

This shows us that no matter what the enemy plans, God’s purpose will always prevail. The enemy wanted to destroy Moses, but God used the very household of Pharaoh to prepare him for his calling. What seemed like a hopeless situation turned into a divine setup for God’s greater plan.

Application

Many times, we feel trapped in situations that seem hopeless. Maybe we’ve faced rejection, failure, or hardship. Sometimes, we look at our lives and wonder, “Why did this happen? Is there a purpose in my pain?” But just like Moses, God may be preparing us for something bigger than we can imagine.

1. God’s plan is greater than our circumstances.
You may feel like you’re in a difficult season, but God can use even the hardest moments to position you for His purpose. Moses was placed in the river, but instead of drowning, he was rescued and raised in the palace. God can take what was meant
