“Ignorant By Choice” (Matthew 16:1-4) Pastor Mel Caparros July 2, 2023 Sunday Service
It has been said many times said that we cannot fault people if they do not comprehend or appreciate spiritual things, because they are SPIRITUALLY BLIND. That may be an explanation of their present spiritual state, but it is NOT AN EXCUSE. The Bible says that people are ignorant because OF THE HARDNESS OF THEIR HEARTS [Eph.4:17 - 18]. This is the scenario we will find in this passage.

Now we know that good eyesight is a marvelous blessing and in order to see better, Americans spend some five billion dollars a year on eye care. Unfortunately, men do not universally have the desire for SPIRITUAL SIGHT that they do for the PHYSICAL. They have eyes but could not see.
Blind and deaf from the age of two, Helen Keller was asked by a young boy, "Isn't it the worst thing in the world to be blind?" Smiling, she replied, "Not half so bad as to have two good eyes and see nothing." How true!
