A popular Filipino-Chinese dating tradition is front and center in new young adult novel "Chloe and the Kaishao boys" by Filipino-Chinese author Mae Coyiuto.
"Kaishao" means "to introduce" which often leads to arranged dates but not as binding as arranged marriages.
