Today's Devotion:

365 Daily Devotions: Seminary Edition

💁🏻 Concept: Inerrancy (Truthfulness)
Inerrancy refers to the belief that the Bible, in its original manuscripts, is without error in all that it affirms—whether about history, science, or theology. The Scripture is wholly reliable because it is inspired by God, who is perfectly truthful. This truth assures us that the Bible can be trusted in every area of life. As believers, we can stand firm on the promises, commands, and teachings of God’s Word, knowing that it is both completely true and sufficient for our faith and practice.

📖 Bible Readings: John 17:17
(2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 12:6, 19:7-10; Matthew 5:18, 24:35; John 17:17; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter 1:21; Proverbs 30:5; Titus 1:2; Isaiah 40:8; Psalm 119:105, 160; James 1:22)

👨🏻‍💻 Teachings:
1. Inerrancy applies to the original manuscripts.
2. Inerrancy means the Bible has no error.
3. Inerrancy is rooted in the character of God.

💪🏼 Applications:
1. Trust that God has preserved His Word.
2. Discover the heart and mind of God.
3. Live according to the principles of God.

🎙Discussion:
Since the Bible is the preserved love letter of God to us, how often should we read the Bible?

🙏🏼 Prayer:
Lord, thank You for Your Word, which is inerrant and full of truth. I am grateful that I can trust Your Scriptures completely, knowing that they are reliable in every area of life. Help me to live in accordance with Your Word, allowing it to guide me in all my decisions, actions, and relationships. May Your Word strengthen my faith and shape my thoughts and desires. I commit to standing firm on Your promises, knowing that Your truth never changes. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
