Manila confirms that talks are underway for possible deployment of more US missile systems — a move likely to draw objections from China.

The US has already sent a Typhon Midrange Missile System to Northern Luzon last year, and an antiship missile launcher to Batanes this year - as tensions rise as well between Taiwan and China.
