“The Ten Affirmations God Wants to Hear From You” (Matthew 6:9-13) Dr. Gary Hill Sept. 3, 2023
This Sunday’s preaching will tackle on the important subject of prayer. In the original Greek text, the word prayer comes from two words. It means to actively interact for wishes. So prayer in Scripture is when we have a dialog with God, not a monologue. And we interact with him, interface actively and we learn his wishes as he burns them in our heart, called faith.

And if we want to grow in that school in our reality of prayer, wouldn't it be nice to know just how the Lord himself would say, "This is how I want to interact with you, This is how I will let you know My wishes?"
In Greek, it would call it the model or pattern prayer, the paradigm. But wouldn't it be grand if you knew just what someone wanted to hear and told you would please them? Wouldn't that be grand? And that is the meaning of the Lord's Prayer. So just before Matthew 6:9-13 and we could call the Lord's Prayer the ten affirmations God desires to hear from us.
