Today's Devotion:

365 Daily Devotions: Seminary Edition

💁🏻 Concept: Omnipotence
Omnipotence is the doctrine that God is able to do all His holy will. From the Latin omni (“all”) and potens (“powerful”), it affirms that there is no limit to God’s power except His own nature—He cannot lie, sin, or contradict Himself. God’s omnipotence is not chaotic or random—it is governed by His perfect wisdom, justice, and holiness. He is sovereign over creation, providence, and salvation. Every storm, every miracle, every act of grace flows from the hand of the Almighty whose power is always purposeful and pure.

📖 Bible Readings: Isaiah 46:9-10
(Job 42:2; Genesis 18:14; Psalm 115:3; Isaiah 46:9-10; Matthew 19:26; Ephesians 1:19-21; Revelation 19:6)

👨🏻‍💻 Teachings:
1. God’s power has no rival and no limit..
2. God is the Planner and Director of the universe.
3. God’s omnipotence is displayed on the cross.

💪🏼 Applications:
1. Practice calmness in chaos, trust God’s direction.
2. Pray more and entrust everything to God.
3. Pay attention to God’s direction right now.

🎙Discussion:
How do we practice calmness in chaos?

2. How can you practically apply our devotion?

🙏🏼 Prayer:
Almighty God, there is nothing too hard for You. You spoke creation into being, parted seas, and raised Jesus from the dead. Thank You that Your power is not distant, but working in my life today. Help me to trust in Your sovereignty, even when I don’t understand my circumstances. Strengthen my faith when I grow weary. Remind me that You are not only able, but also good and wise in all that You do. May Your mighty power be made perfect in my weakness. I rely on You, my all-powerful Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
