The rising of Jesus from the earth into heaven forty days after his resurrection. The ascension marks Christ's enthronement, establishing His sovereign reign as King over all creation and Head of the Church.

Dear Lord, I praise You for the doctrine of the Ascension of Christ, which reminds me that He is the King of kings and Lord of lords, ruling over all. I rejoice that His reign has begun and that the nations are being drawn to Him. Help me to live under His kingship, surrendering every part of my life to His will. May His gospel invade my family and transform us according to His will. Fill my heart with hope as I long for the day when Christ will return to complete our redemption and make earth a territory of heaven. Strengthen my faith as I wait for His glorious return. In Jesus' name, Amen.
