To expose falsehood publicly is enough to be considered one communicating with a harsh tone according to Kevin DeYoung. This niceness at all times Christianity is foreign to biblical Christianity. Yes kindness is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22), but when you're dealing with dangerous doctrines like Social Justice, which Timothy Brindle was addressing, there should be an urgency to the communication. Look at how the prophets, Jesus, and the apostles addressed error in Scripture. Timothy Brindle should be commended for speaking the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15), instead DeYoung rebuked him for it. This is very telling of the diseased climate of American Christianity. The Church needs soldiers not weak Christians.
