Today's Devotion:
365 Daily Devotions: Seminary Edition
💁🏻 Concept: Invisibility
The doctrine of God’s invisibility teaches that God’s full essence—His complete spiritual being—can never be fully seen or comprehended by human eyes. Though invisible, God graciously reveals Himself through visible, created things like nature, His Word, and ultimately through Jesus Christ. This means that while we cannot see God directly, we can know Him truly and personally through His works and His presence in our lives. God’s invisibility reminds us of His holiness, majesty, and mystery, inviting us to trust Him by faith beyond what our eyes can see.
📖 Bible Readings: 1 Timothy 1:17
(John 1:18; Colossians 1:15; Romans 1:20; Exodus 33:20; Hebrews 11:6, 27; John 20:29; 1 Peter 1:8-9; John 14:9; Hebrews 1:1-3)
👨🏻💻 Teachings:
1. God is invisible but present.
2. God reveals Himself in Christ.
3. God blesses those who believe.
💪🏼 Applications:
1. Put your faith in God and not in feelings.
2. Know Christ in order to know God.
3. Experience God’s favor and blessings.
🎙Discussion:
What is the importance of believing that God is present even though He is invisible?
🙏🏼 Prayer:
Invisible God, though I cannot see Your full glory, I choose to trust You by faith. Thank You for revealing Yourself through creation, Scripture, and the life of Jesus. Help me to rest in Your presence even when I do not feel You. Strengthen my faith so that I may confidently follow You, knowing that Your power and love are always at work behind the scenes. Teach me to rely on Your promises and to honor You as the holy, invisible God. From now on, I will believe in Your presence and will not rely on my feelings. In Jesus’ name, amen.
