TOPIC: WHAT HAS THE LORD APPOINTED ME TO BE?

First Reading: Hebrews 8: 6-13
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 85: 8 and 10, 11-12, 13-14
Gospel: Mark 3: 13-19

Brothers and sisters, while we cannot be appointed apostles ⏤ since that title was reserved for those directly chosen by Jesus ⏤ we each have an important role to fulfill. You might be called to be a holy missionary, a caring father, a devoted mother, a virtuous single person, a righteous employee, or simply a neighbor who shares God's love and goodness. Although we cannot be apostles, we can embody an apostolic spirit in whatever role God appoints us to, by walking in the ways and teachings of Jesus and following the example of the apostles. Each of us is appointed by God to be His ambassador in our communities and among those we interact with. We all have a specific assignment to carry out.

This is the 1734th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.

[NOTE: Let us listen to our brother Harris Jacildo, Sector Leader of CFC Metro Manila South B, as he brings us today's reflection.

All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS
