Are you turning pastors into idols?

Some pastors today are more famous for their charisma, style, or social media influence than their faithfulness to the Word of God. Admiring spiritual leaders isn’t inherently wrong, but when admiration turns into idolatry, we’ve crossed a dangerous line.

The Apostle Paul saw this coming. He addressed it in 1 Corinthians 3:4:
“For when one says, ‘I am of Paul,’ and another, ‘I am of Apollos,’ are you not carnal?”

The truth is, no pastor—no matter how gifted or inspiring—can replace Yahshua as the head of the church.

When we elevate personalities above the gospel, we risk spiritual drift. Pastors, like all of us, are human. They can inspire us, but they will never be the source of our salvation.

Let’s shift our focus back to where it belongs: Yahweh and His Word. Because the church isn’t about building a platform—it’s about building His Kingdom.
