CARE Ph on the Impact of Tropical Storm Trami

WATCH: Jen Mendoza, CARE Philippines Humanitarian Partnerships Manager shared in an interview with ABC Australia the impact of Tropical Storm #Trami or #KristinePH, especially on the most vulnerable affected population.

"It is important to note that this tropical storm is just part of the series of climate-related events that most of the affected population have experienced. They have experienced a long drought or El Nino since late 2023 which continued until July this year. Starting September, two typhoons Gaemi and Yagi, and this storm devastated the same communities that were still reeling from the impact of El Nino. Farming and fishing families who have just started to recover from El Nino were hardly hit by the series of typhoons and storm, damaging their sources of livelihood, and may take a longer time to bounce back from the devastation."
