Getting the CARE PACKAGE® for Emergencies (CP4E) to earthquake-affected families in Cebu
In San Remigio, Cebu, 250 families continue to live in makeshift tents and temporary shelters after the 6.9 magnitude earthquake damaged their homes.
To support their everyday needs in these difficult conditions, CARE has delivered 250 Emergency CARE Packages™. Each 22kg package is specifically designed to help families maintain daily life outside of a proper home.

The kits provide 39 essential items, including:
Kitchen and cooking sets for preparing meals
Solar lighting for safety at night
Collapsible water containers and hygiene items
Emergency shelter materials for reinforcement
It was successfully tested by CARE Nepal after a major earthquake and is now part of a global effort to support 6,200 people in the Philippines, Bangladesh, Nepal, and the Southern African Region.
Beyond this immediate assistance, CARE aims to support the most-affected families in Cebu as they lead their own recovery, helping them rebuild safer homes and supporting their wellbeing.
