Caring for our common home through Zero Waste

This January, the Philippines celebrates the 9th Zero waste month. Pope Francis describes that we have made the whole world a giant garbage dump as we have increasingly generated waste. According to EcoWaste Coalition coordinator Aileen Lucero, Metro Manila has been generating 9,000 tons of garbage since 2018 and increasing. Waste-to-energy technology is highlighted as NOT a sustainable way of managing our waste.
