We have failed “a thousand times” meaning that all we do is fail God. Even if we try to please God, it says in Isaiah 64:6 “All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags.” There is nothing in our power that we could do to compare with God. It’s reassuring to know that despite all our flaws and failures if we “stumble again, still I’m caught in Your [God’s] grace.” Amazing. Who was the last person you knew that accepted us despite our failures? But God’s grace is so amazing and even though we continual to stumble and rebel against Him, we can count on His grace to forgive us.”
