And while, yes, you will know a tree by its fruit—we often overlook one important element: fruit takes time to grow.
It would be silly to plant an apple seed and panic the next morning when there’s no fruit yet.
But that’s exactly what many new believers do spiritually.
They believe the gospel, start walking with Jesus… and then get discouraged when growth feels slow.
The enemy loves to twist that frustration into condemnation.
But here’s the truth:
You can have complete confidence that the Spirit of God is in you if you’ve heard the word of truth and believed. (Eph. 1:13)
Don’t confuse the (sometimes) slow process of growth with the absence of God.
Your job isn’t to force fruit—it’s to cooperate with the Spirit. The fruit will come because He is faithful.
