Prayer changes the brain
Justin Khoe
Prayer "works" in MANY ways...
One of the many ways that it works is by rewiring the very structure of your brain!
Those who pray and meditate with regularity seem to have substantively different brains than those who do not pray as often
Prayer seem to develop stronger connections in the ventromedial prefrontal cortex and the anterior insular cortex.
This aids in emotional regularity, empathy, and the ability to cope with stressful situations.
Far from being a "crutch" that helps weak people cope with life... it seems that prayer strengthens you to better navigate all that life has to offer
You keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trusts in you.
Trust in the LORD forever,
for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock.
Isaiah 26:3-4
