Today's Devotion:

365 Daily Devotions: Seminary Edition

💁🏻 Concept: Mystical Union
The mystical union refers to the deep, spiritual connection between believers and Jesus Christ. It is a union that transcends mere emotion or symbol—it is real, vital, and transformative. Though we cannot fully explain how it works, the Bible teaches that we are “in Christ,” and He is “in us.” This mysterious bond means we share in His life, death, resurrection, and glory. It is not a vague or abstract experience but a concrete reality brought about by the Holy Spirit and revealed through Scripture.

📖 Bible Readings: John 15:4–5
(Romans 6:5; Ephesians 2:6; Colossians 1:27, 2:12; Galatians 2:20; 1 Corinthians 1:30; 6:17; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 3:17; Romans 8:9–11; 2 Timothy 2:11-12; Romans 8:29; 1 John 3:2; 1 John 2:6)

👨🏻‍💻 Teachings:

2. Be an ambassador of Christ to the world.
3. Be an advocate for the growing kingdom of God.

🎙Discussion:
Why is imitating Christ’s life, character, and attitude the goal or direction of our Christian life?

Alternative questions:

2. How can you practically apply our devotion?

🙏🏼 Prayer:
Lord God, I praise You for uniting me to Jesus Christ in a way deeper than I can fully grasp. I marvel at the mystery that Christ lives in me and I in Him. When I feel weak or lost, remind me that I am never alone. You are always with me just as Christ is in me and I in Him. Please help me live each day aware of this union, drawing strength from Christ presence. Teach me to remain in Christ, even in the darkest moments. I trust in Your unfailing love. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
