Today's Devotion:
365 Daily Devotions: Seminary Edition
💁🏻 Concept: Perfection
Perfection is the doctrine that God fully possesses every excellent quality to the highest degree and lacks nothing that is desirable or good. He is perfectly holy, perfectly wise, perfectly loving, perfectly just—without flaw, without deficiency, without change. God’s perfection is not just the sum of His attributes—it is the harmony of all His attributes working together without contradiction. His plans are perfect. His timing is perfect. His character is perfect. And in Christ, He is making His people perfect, not by their merit but by His sanctifying grace.
📖 Bible Readings: Deuteronomy 32:4
(Psalm 18:30; Matthew 5:48; James 1:17; Hebrews 10:14; Romans 12:2; 1 Peter 5:10; Romans 8:29)
👨🏻💻 Teachings:
1. God is perfectly good and altogether lovely.
2. God is perfect in wisdom and power.
3. God is forming Christ in us toward perfection.
💪🏼 Applications:
1. Worship God and be like God.
2. Imitate Jesus as God sanctifies us.
3. Trust God’s wisdom and power.

🙏🏼 Prayer:
Perfect Father, You are without flaw, without failure, and without need. Everything You do is right, and every decision You make is wise. Thank You for being a God I can trust completely. Even when I don’t see the whole picture, I rest in Your perfection. Help me to submit my will to Yours and walk in the peace that comes from knowing You never make a mistake. Make me more like Jesus, shaping my heart according to Your perfect love. In Christ, I long to be made whole. In His name I pray. Amen.
