Repentance Prayer for the Nation

𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 🙏

𝗥𝗘𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗬𝗘𝗥 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

Heavenly Father,

You are a great God.
You created the vast universe.
You hold the world in Your hands.

We come to You with humble hearts, and pray for our Nation.

We claim to be the only Christian nation in Asia...

And we are the only nation where the Bible verse "𝗣𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗮 𝗔𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗶𝘆𝗼𝘀 𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗼𝗻" (𝗕𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱) is printed on our peso bill, as a reminder to always look unto You.

But many times we fail to walk according to the truth of Your word. We fail to trust that You alone can save our Nation.

Time and again we abuse Your lovingkindness. We drift away from You, neglect Your commands, and disobey you.

Lord we ask for Your forgiveness….for every sin committed, and every compromise we make that breaks Your heart.

𝗪𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀...
Our President, the Vice-President, the Cabinet members, Chief Justice, and associate justices of the Supreme Court. For the members of the Senate, the House of Representatives, for national and local government.

May they come to know You as their Savior and Lord. May they have fear of You, for the "...𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗱𝗼𝗺" (𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗯𝘀 𝟵:𝟭𝟬).

Continue to raise up leaders who are upright, who will not compromise their integrity, and whose hearts are sincere in serving our country.

𝗪𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻...
Both active and reserved. Those in the frontlines, responsible for peace and national security. Surround them with favor as with a shield, grant them wisdom, and lead them.

𝗪𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗟𝗮𝘄𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀...
May they review and reform our justice system. May there be fairness and equality regardless of social class. May our laws protect the innocents and the victims, and may all our laws be pleasing unto You.

Lord, have mercy on us...
Set apart those who carry out their leadership duties with righteousness from the wicked ones who are simply serving their own interest. Expose them and may Your justice prevail.

𝗪𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆...
Lord we pray for economic recovery and transformation. Lead our economic managers from DTI, PCCI, DENR and DOST, to manage our rich natural resources wisely. Protect our OFWs, they are the vital source of dollars for our economy.

𝗪𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁...
Urge our leaders to address the root cause of the long-standing issues in our country. Through wise planning, execution, reform, and innovation, may there be transformation in our communities and our country.

Those who have the heart to share Your truth and Your love. May their influence bring positive transformation. May everything they do bring you honor and glory.

May there be more people committed to pray for our nation and our leaders.

May we always remember that when we pray, miracles happen—hearts are changed, and minds are renewed.

Help us to recognize that each one of us can do something and become a blessing to people around us

Help us Lord to consistently pray for our country. May we stand according to the truth of Your Word and take action as You lead us.
