WEA urges Israel to protect Palestinian civilians, halt settler violence & expansion in West Bank

The World Evangelical Alliance urged Israel to uphold its obligations under international law, protect Palestinian civilians, prevent settler violence, ensure accountability for abuses, and halt settlement expansion and the appropriation of Palestinian land. The WEA further emphasized that Israeli annexation plans are detrimental for Israelis and Palestinians alike, and that every person has equal dignity and the right to live safely in peace on their land.

The oral statement was made at the Human Rights Council 63rd session, during the General debate on human rights situations that require the Council’s attention, on September 22, 2026.
