false humility?

When the self-pity party strikes, it can’t just end with feelings of repentance, but with HOPE! ⭐

Maybe it’s because I just finished reading The Screwtape Letters, but I realize the enemy is so much craftier than we think. He can convince us that we *should* feel guilty and call it humility.

But this is not God’s heart for us! ⚠️ There is no more condemnation for those in Christ (Rom 8:1). True humility is humbly receiving His mercy and believing that nothing else makes us righteous besides Christ. Yes—not even how terrible we feel could justify us. It’s really in Christ alone. ✝️💝

Why so cast down? Hope in the LORD, dear saints! 📣
