Despite his old age and illness, an MCGI member chose to walk from his home to the local chapter. Leaning on his cane for support, he arrived a little out of breath but felt invigorated by the journey. This act of faith, however, caused concern among his children for his well-being.

His children urged him to see Noy Vicente, a faith healer, but he declined, trusting that he would be healed if it was God's will. He advised his children to not rely on their wealth but to stay true to their faith in God, even as their bodies grow frail.
