"Putting relationship before principle always, eventually results in destruction." Today's reading from Judges 20 teaches us that our stand on right and wrong should come first before any relationship we have because, as Christians, our loyalty should go up to God, and that we should remain righteously impartial in our decisions regardless of who or what our circumstances are.

The Israelites sent messengers to the tribe of Benjamin, saying, “What a terrible thing has been done among you! Give up those evil men, those troublemakers from Gibeah, so we can execute them and purge Israel of this evil.” But the people of Benjamin would not listen.
